It eliminates the time involved as well as the unknowns regarding a possible sale after listing....and what the final price will be.
It makes selling old items much faster and if you want not deal with listing and all other aspects of being a ebay seller it makes life easier. I enjoyed being able to get something back on things that I thought weren't worth anything.
